The Virginia Tech adventure ended early for me due to Bio quiz and
Firewall, but it was excellent nevertheless, near-3 hour drives to Blacksburg and back, the sprawling campus of the Hokies, eleven us of piling into a SUV to get to the CAS party, copious cocktails back at the apartment, Tin and David running outside to do war-dances in the sudden snow the next morning. They brought some back to place in my open palm when I was pseudo-sleeping on the couch so I reflex-awoke and threw it in Tin's face.

(It's a complete mess, and yet not without strange harmony. Elbows and shoulders banging, sliding fingers. There's an awkward intimacy in this game because I can dictate where our hands go, palm against palm when you get too close behind, only to turn around and rest my arms against your frame. And underground, the slam of music bubbles.
It's interesting how if you danced with boys who you actually know, they'd never touch you for fear of saying something they don't mean. They'll have to see you again.
Despite your beauty, we both know we're substitutes in this moment, and the question is, for whom? Whom?)
